Trattoria Don Alfonso: Authentic Neapolitan Flavors and Warm Hospitality in Naples

It is so nice to find a place where we could taste the “gusto di mare e terra” Napoletano! We took the suggestion and really like the antipasto and gnocchi and everything! I am sure that we will come back here in near future!

Lovely home cooking and hospitality- not to mention great value for money. We had the menu fisso with either a primi or secondi for 10€! The hosts spoke some English and the menu was easily translated via Google. Their veal stew was wonderful as was the platter of fried assorted appetizers which the lady of the house assembled for us (she was also very transparent about the pricing for that too). All in all, it was a warm welcome on our first day in Naples. Don't be put off by the fact that you have to walk under an expressway to get there. It's well worth the effort!

Words cannot describe how wonderful this restaurant is! Me and my partner visited Naples for 4 days, we came back every day it was so good! Even on my birthday we were lucky enough to party with the family, which was so much fun! Let's start with the food, fantastico! We sampled lots of dishes everyone was beautifully crafted, fresh and delicious. My personal favourite being the mix of fish, the spada... Wow! This is a must try! This chef has real talent. On to the service this was second to none, they really looked after us. Explained all the dishes very well and were always on hand to help. From the kids, uncle and husband and wife combo you will be treated and well looked after. On to the price, you really get your money's worth here! Overall I would suggest that any tourist's from England or the world must try this place. My number one place to enjoy drinks and great food in Naples. Thank you so much to everyone I met here, me and my partner would call the staff friends and are looking forward to coming back! We shall remember our experience here very happily, you really went above and beyond for us.

This place was really good. I got the meal of the day. That meal had 5 plates of food. The bruschetta was the best I've ever tasted. This restaurant is more than 5 stars I will be back.

Came here for lunch and the walk here I wasn’t sure what to expect as there weren’t many restaurants. However, when I walked in the chef was extremely welcoming and knew English. He recommended dishes and let us know of the dish of the day. Super affordable and super delicious. Everything was quick and seafood super fresh. Definitely coming back during my stay in Naples. Amazing.

Absolutely fantastic local food experience. The Trattoria Don Alfonso is an excellent restaurant that attracts mostly Italian customers (which speaks for quality to me) and looks relatively unassuming from the outside. The quality of the food was the best we have experienced on a multi-day trip to Naples and is served in a home-style setting. The hosts are a traditional family business whose history can be traced everywhere in the restaurant and comes with a very charming personal touch! The service was great and the prices absolutely match the quality of the dishes. This is an original Italian restaurant - full recommendation! Despite being a bit out of the tourist center I recommend booking as it is very popular with the locals.
